ePrescribing allows a prescriber to electronically send an accurate, error-free and understandable prescription directly to a pharmacy from the point-of-care. In a recent study done in Colorado it was shown ePresctibing enhanced medication adherence with the following classes of drugs; diabetes, anti-hypertensives, and cholesterol.
I think the ePrescribing is cost effective and can save a lot of time when getting prescriptions. I think we should have more Pharmacies connected with this technology and by this can reduce medication errors.

Weill Cornell Issues New Med Students iPad 2
In Weill Cornell Medical College (New York City), the new medical students of 2011 will be given iPad 2's for class instead of printing notes for class. I think that since we are moving towards everything being on computer based software, I would understand why this school would do such a thing.
In all honest, I personally like to write my notes by hand and have a print out copy. I could have the option to type all my notes on a laptop or an iPad, but it's something I am not comfortable with. For the future physicians this will be beneficial due to the fact that hospitals are changing from paper-based charts to computerized base charts. I support this innovation for our future medical doctors.
