ePrescribing allows a prescriber to electronically send an accurate, error-free and understandable prescription directly to a pharmacy from the point-of-care. In a recent study done in Colorado it was shown ePresctibing enhanced medication adherence with the following classes of drugs; diabetes, anti-hypertensives, and cholesterol.
I think the ePrescribing is cost effective and can save a lot of time when getting prescriptions. I think we should have more Pharmacies connected with this technology and by this can reduce medication errors.
