Blood Centers Adopt Software to Analyze Blood Management Effectiveness
I think by far, this is the most interesting blog I put on my site! There is new software " InSight Performance Management" helps reduce error with blood transfusion by "reducing cost and improve transfusion safety." I don't know if this new software is being practiced in other hospitals, but it should! Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did.

7% of U.S. Physicians Use Video Chat to Communicate with Patients
Everything now a'days are computer based and physicians are using this type of technique to communicate with their patients. Some of the physicians are concerned with reimbursement, liability, and HIPAA and the issue is being acknowledged.
I believe that physicians should have one-to-one communication with their patients. This shouldn't change!

First Mobile MRI Systems to be Sent to Afghanistan Theater
All I can say is, FINALLY!! Our men and women who are fighting overseas need proper machines and don't let me get started with medication. I am so happy to hear about this. This news also saves cost and time. If having the proper machines to diagnosis brain trauma's, we don't have to send our soldiers to parts of the world to find out if everything is working proper up there.

FDA Issues Draft Mobile App Regulations
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are getting involved with mobile apps. Good job FDA! There is so many apps that involved with medicine, disease states, otc products, etc.... ( the list can go on and on). When people will see that the FDA is involved, people can trust whatever is in the application, was tested and all results are true. It's kind of a comfort to hear. Would you rather take a prescription medication that the FDA did not approve. Would you trust it? I wouldn't. http://www.healthcare-informatics.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=&nm=&type=news&mod=News&mid=9A02E3B96F2A415ABC72CB5F516B4C10&tier=3&nid=22347A8FE5B14BDF95CC749859337345 |
